If you have an original document that you cannot part with, a notarized copy can be prepared... and when that document needs to be translated, you'll need a notarized translation. Vancouver Apostille specializes in both of these services, and we'd be pleased to assist. This article will provide more information on this topic.
If you need a certified copy or notarized translation, please bring your original documentation to our office. You can bring in your own copies to save time, especially if you want colour copies, but you must always show us the original.
Typically, we will photocopy your original document and certify that the photocopy is a true and correct copy of the original document. We then apply our stamp, signature and notarial seal. This procedure creates a certified true copy, also known as a notarized copy.
If your document also needs to be translated, we take care of that process on your behalf. We hire a BC certified translator to produce the translation. We then bind the certified copy of your document to the certified translation; this is known as a notarized translation. A notarized translation, plus an apostille which we can assist with as well, ensures that your document will be accepted worldwide. We work closely with many BC certified translators.
Notarized translations are often used as the basis for international apostilles - which is another important service we offer for our international clients based in Vancouver. Please contact us for more details about our apostille services.
