Taking the Mystery out of Apostilles

Vancouver Apostille can help. Many people contact us in a panic, not really knowing what an apostille is. Before a document can be used overseas, its authenticity must be verified. In order to do this, a document must be apostilled.

  1. Notarization: confirms the authenticity of an original, copied or signed document. The notarial certificate achieves this.
  2. Apostille: confirms the registration of the notary or lawyer in their respective governing body, and verifies their signature and seal as being 100% authentic. The apostille certificate issued by a provincial or federal authority achieves this.

After these two steps are successfully completed, an apostille certificate is attached to your document. You document is then legal and valid for use in the foreign jurisdiction.

As mentioned above, many countries, including Canada use a procedure called apostille certification to authenticate documents for use abroad. Simply speaking, an apostille certificate is the equivalent of an international notarial seal. We realize your international documentation is extremely important to you. Whether you have personal or business documents, Vancouver Apostille ensures that everything goes smoothly.
